On June 28th, developers, artists, publishers, gamers, and press came to INDIGOx to discover new games, get inspired by xTALKS presentations and connect with other professionals during xCONNECT.

INDIGOx again took place place in Speys Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. During the day, guests had the opportunity to xDISCOVER new games, learn from the engaging xTALKS, and network with other game professionals during xCONNECT. The day ended with a party in the sun.

The doors opened at 9.00 o’clock on Friday for the event visitors attending the new xCONNECT track. Organized together with MeetToMatch, over 250 meetings were scheduled throughout the day. Participants of the track were able to meet with different partners to discuss potential business opportunities. Several notable names such as Epic, Nintendo, Deep Silver, Headup Games, Maximum Games and many more were available for the meetings.

At 9.30 the xTALKS track kicked-off with Ruby Urlings from GSN games sharing insights on how to pitch the next 100 milion dollar app idea. She was followed by Ard Bonewald of Breda University of Applied Science, Michiel van Galen of Gamebasics Studios, Audra McIver of Plan of Attack and Sjoerd de Jong and Andreas Suika from Epic. You can find a complete description of the xTALKS descriptions here.

The xDISCOVER track hosted 31 showcasers from 7 countries. Guests could experience a broad variety of games, ranging from entertainment to serious games, single- and multiplayer, as well as virtual reality games. You can find a full overview of our 2019 showcasers here. Or take a look at our Hall of Fame to see all of the gems that have been showcased at INDIGO these past ten years.

A highlight of the evening was the announcement of the INDIGOx 2019 Award. This year, guests voted for the game they believed will have the most commercial success. The game that won the award was Bone Voyage by Team Cobblestone, a student team of the Breda University of Applied Science. Bone Voyage is a third person adventure game, inspired by old classic adventures and has been released earlier this week on steam.

Dutch Game Garden would like to thank everyone who helped to make the 10-year anniversary so special. Without the amazing showcasers, guests, and volunteers, we would not have been able to create such an amazing event. A very special thanks goes to our sponsors & partners: Thank you!
