Dutch Game Garden presents a whopping 32 new games by developers from the Netherlands at their yearly INDIGO showcase. This year the show will be held on September 25 and 26. Among the games are RIVE, the new game from Two Tribes, Swords & Soldiers 2 by Ronimo Games and Abbey Games’ Renowned Explorers. There is plenty of room for newcomers as well, such as Penarium by Self Made Miracle and Action Henk from RageSquid.

INDIGO is not only entirely free to attend, but the creators of the games are present as well to provide visitors with tips, background info or just a friendly chat. The location is the impressive TivoliVredenburg concert hall the center of Utrecht (The street name is Vredenburgkade 11). This spot has been made possible through Dutch Game Garden’s cooperation with the prestigious Netherlands Film Festival (NFF) taking place in the same building.

Just a little different

This marks the fifth anniversary of the INDIGO showcase, and we made sure to leave room for games that are just a little bit different. One example is Tile Drifter, which is controlled by squeezing a pillow. Visitors can also play the newest version of the Oculus Rift virtual reality helmet and there will be several narrative games on display that blur the line between film and games. Apart from that, there will be plenty of action, adventure, puzzle, strategy and platform games, as well as local multiplayer games for two, three or four players.
INDIGO is free to visit on Thursday September 25th from 12 PM until 5 PM and on Friday September 26th from 12 PM until 10 PM at is TivoliVredenburg in the city of Utrecht, hall Cloud 9.
Because of the high number of domestic visitors, the website is mostly in Dutch, but you can check out the full lineup of games at http://www.dutchgamegarden.nl/indigo/ All of the developers and INDIGO crew speak English, so you will have no problem playing and participating if you can’t speak Dutch!
