Game studio Vlambeer has won an Apple Design Award for their iOS game Ridiculous Fishing. During the annual World Wide Developers Congress (WWDC) in San Francisco (a conference for Mac and iOS developers) the jury praised the title’s gameplay and humor.
Ridiculous Fishing received lots of attention from the press long before its release. This was partly because another company shamelessly copied the initial concept and released it way ahead of Vlambeer’s own product. The original gameplay of Ridiculous Fishing as well as the original artwork by graphic designer Greg Wohlwend, eventually vindicated the original.
