Jello is a physics-based 2D platformer with unique controls.
You take control of a cute orange blob, and have to jump from the start of the level to the end. Sounds simple right? However, this simple goal is balanced out with not-so-simple movement. Using only two gamepad sticks, you can roll, jump, and swing around.
Starting the game, most players will not be used to the controls. As a result, the first steps may feel wacky, and the movement never stops being challenging. But if you can master it, controlling Jello will become very natural and rewarding. The game brings to mind the challenging qualities of Super Meat Boy, with its custom blob-physics and the fluency of the movement. Still, it evolves the genre enough to bring fun and unique moments along the way.
Jello started as a solo school project at BUAS, and now has a life of its own. It is the developer’s favorite thing to spend time on, and with a few passionate people joining the team, he has big hopes for it. The biggest of them is, of course, that you will enjoy playing the game!
