INDIGO FAQ

General Information

What is INDIGO?

INDIGO is the leading game business and showcase event in the Netherlands, organized by Dutch Game Garden. This year INDIGO celebrates its 10th edition, marking a new direction. Come to INDIGO to find your next business opportunity at MeetToMatch listen to inspiring and practical talks during TALKS, and play the best games and connect with its developers at DISCOVER.

Where and when is INDIGO?

The eleventh edition of INDIGO takes place on the 25th & 26th of June 2020 at Speys Jaarbeurs, Utrecht. The date and location for next year are not available yet.

What are the MeetToMatch, TALKS, and DISCOVER tracks?

INDIGO offers three tracks for visitors. MeetToMatch allows you to schedule private meetings with publishers, investors, and service providers. TALKS provides inspiring lectures from industry professionals to help you level up your business. DISCOVER invites you to play all games during the showcase. Read more about the tracks on our About page.

What are the travel options to INDIGO?

We recommend using public transportation since parking is quite expensive in Utrecht, and Speys is within walking distance to the Utrecht Central Station. If you are going by car, you can park at the Jaarbeurs at any of the P1-4 parking lots.

How often does INDIGO take place?

INDIGO takes place once a year during the summer. However, Dutch Game Garden is often present at game events or conferences. You might have seen us during the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, Dutch YouTube Gathering, Campus Party Europe, or Gamescom in Cologne.

Where did you get those nice white arcade cabinets?

Industrial designer Martijn Koch gave us the perfect solution for a sleek, modern showcase: stylish, handmade Retro Space arcade cabinets. The cabinets come with an extra screen in the back and completely in white, specifically tweaked for us.

Business Opportunities

How do I show my game at INDIGO?

Submissions for the 2020 showcase will  be opened again this spring. We encourage both professionals and students to submit, and are happy to announce that international developers are welcome too! We support all platforms, but you must provide your own hardware. Submitting your game does not automatically mean you are selected. Dutch Game Garden makes the final selection.
