INDIGO, the annual game and entrepreneurship festival in the Netherlands organized by Dutch Game Garden returns for 2021. At INDIGO, we aim to bring the work of Dutch game developers to the attention of international publishers, platform holders, press, influencers, and co-developers during a hybrid edition on June 25th. The Extreme Early Bird tickets are available now on our new INDIGO website!

INDIGO 2021 will build on the success of previous editions with the DISCOVER, TALKS, and MeetToMatch tracks. Traditionally in the DISCOVER showcase, the latest games from talented developers are shared and played, this year INDIGO will be focussing entirely on Dutch game productions. Streamers will play the showcase games, and developers are invited to talk about their game in the stream. At the TALKS conference program, panels, interviews, and lectures are held by inspiring members of the industry. Dutch Game Garden is adding twice the amount of speakers of last year and focussing on entrepreneurship and creativity in its conference.

Dutch Game Garden is once again partnering with matchmaking service provider MeetToMatch to facilitate meetings between visitors. INDIGO 2020 was enormously successful, hosting more than 500 appointments between visitors looking to make a deal, investment, job, internship, and other forms of collaboration.

INDIGO, traditionally held in Utrecht, will be a hybrid event this year. Dutch Game Garden will provide an online event environment to its attendees to access all the digital content. The exact size of the physical component will depend on the governmental regulations on COVID-19 at the time. Ticket holders can upgrade to a physical ticket for free some time prior to the event.

Registration DISCOVER Showcase
Every year, Dutch Game Garden receives many applications from established studios, ambitious and talented students of the various game courses, and newcomers who want to showcase their game at INDIGO. In May, the organization will announce the selection with the latest, most innovative, and most promising games. Applications consist of physical installations, VR games, entertainment games or serious (applied) games, games for consoles, mobile, and PC. The developers themselves are present to answer questions and speak to interested parties. Developers can submit games starting March 2nd through the website.

INDIGO 2021 is supported by the Creative Industry Fund NL, the Province of Utrecht, and the Municipality of Utrecht.
