At the Dutch Game Awards 2016 on Tuesday September 27th, four Awards have been won by two games from studios part of Dutch Game Garden. The Dutch Game Awards is the largest competition for Dutch game developers.

Tuesday evening, September 27th, the Dutch Game Awards were awarded for the ninth time in Utrecht during the Netherlands Film Festival. A total of 16 Awards were presented to 12 games.The Kinect game FRU by Through Games from Dutch Game Garden Breda has won three Awards: Best Entertainment Game Design and the two audience awards: the Youtube Choice Award and the Gamer.nl Award.

The game Renowned Explorers by the game studio Abbey Games, formerly part of Dutch Game Garden, has won Best Core Entertainment Game.
