The Arcade Hotel hosts “The Arcade Talks”, where they gather industry experts and let you in on the in and outs of the gaming world. For the month of October The Arcade Hotel will be hosting Toni Pape , Assistant Professor of Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam, who is fascinated by the ways in which stealth games create illusions of becoming invisible to adversaries and perhaps even “the system” as a whole.

Toni will present the genre and its mechanics as well as the gameplay experiences stealth games try to create. He will also dive into the political significance of these video games and how they are related to real activist groups like Anonymous.
