Dutch Game Garden created Summer Game Dev for ambitious students that like to challenge themselves in the summer holiday. Summer Game Dev 2017 is all about learning practical skills you don’t get taught in school. Besides developing a game together with your team, you work on a business plan and up your game industry knowledge. You increase your skills, get valuable contacts in the industry, and you learn about commercializing your own game concept. During the week, experts from the games industry will coach you. Besides making a game, you also get talks from professionals and we visit a game studio. At the end of the week, a jury will judge all the games and the pitches. The winning team gets a prize.

When? July 17 – 21, 2017, 11:00 to 21:00
Where? The 5th, Neude 5, Utrecht
Who? Students enrolled in game/media programs or business/commercial programs.
Admission: €32,50. This includes daily lunch and a dinner on the first evening.
Requirements: Motivation! We expect commitment and attendance during the whole week.
Note: this is not a final registration. Dutch Game Garden will make a selection based on motivation, skills, and roles (programmer, artist, designer, producer/business, audio).
