Zuraida Buter Zuraida Buter has been involved in the game industry for several years in different guises: lecturer, researcher, freelance journalist, gameshop manager, project manager.

After finishing her thesis about embodied gaming at the University of Utrecht, she continued assisting on game courses at the University of Utrecht. To get in touch with the 'real gamer' instead of the imaginary theoretical ones, she started working in a local gameshop. Meanwhile, to make proper use of her theoretical knowledge she also started working as a lecturer at the Utrecht School of Arts (DVTG), where she still teaches Media and Game theory courses. Next to being interested in the theoretical part of videogames she is also interested in the culture surrounding it and the proper archiving of the history of videogames itself. She strongly believes in games being part of our cultural heritage.

Now she is also part of the new foundation Dutch Game Garden as a project manager which gives her plenty of opportunities to combine her experience and expertise working on exciting projects.
Her main focusses are: communication, students, DevClub, research & education, social network and the website.
